On May 6th, the HCHC Missions Club hosted an event titled “Saint Yared- His Life & Works”, led by ThM student Deacon Tseheye Beyene & Holy Cross student Ivy Gabriella Tesfay.
Father Phillip Zymaris began the event with a small lecture on Ancient Liturgical Texts, followed by Deacon Tseheye presenting on Saint Yared the Axumite.
To conclude, there was a demonstration of some of the hymns of Saint Yared from Father Ermias and the chanters from the Menbere Liul “Church of the Savior of the Earth ” Tigray Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
It was an event filled with enlightening words and beautiful fellowship!
