How Far Would You Go for Real Food?

Great evening last night at the Maliotis Cultural Center of Hellenic College Holy Cross!

The featured presentation, “How Far Would You Go for Real Food” by renowned Greek journalist and author Isabella Zampetaki, transported the audience on a mystical epicurean adventure on the island of Crete. Saluted by Presbytera Chrysoula Kourkounti, Maliotis Executive Director, and the Consul General of Greece in Boston, the Hon. Symeon Tegos, the event was also an opportunity for Harvard Medical & Public Health Professor Dr. Stefanos Kales to inform the community about the non-profit, Hellenic Center for Excellence in Health & Wellness and its second annual experiential conference in Crete- upcoming Nov. 13-18, 2023. The experience is co-organized with MDR. “Last November, we hosted more than 100 participants from 10 countries and 4 continents. We look to a bigger and better conference this year. Again, we will combine state-of-the-art science and health presentations with fascinating hands-on gastronomic, cultural and lifestyle experiences.

Last night’s event represents a fruitful collaboration of several private and non-profit organizations, harmoniously working together to create a better Food Industry in the US. For additional information about the conference in Crete, please visit www.mediterraneanhealth.org.
