The Maliotis Mission

The mission of the Maliotis Cultural Center is to promote the rich heritage of Hellenic culture and language.

The Center accomplishes this by producing, sponsoring, and hosting an array of programs and events that foster engagement with Hellenic traditions. These initiatives are often carried out in collaboration with educational and cultural organizations, both locally and internationally, with a strong emphasis on serving the Greek American and Philhellenic communities, which form the core of its audience. Additionally, partnerships with local colleges and universities further extend the Center’s reach and impact.

The mission of Maliotis Cultural Center is:

  • To advance the proper understanding and appreciation of the many aspects of Hellenic Culture, in its broadest sense, in the Hellenic, Hellenic American Community and American Society through the performing arts, visual arts, educational programs and conferences, and the provision of the Center’s resources.
  • To serve as a general forum for the open discussion of issues of importance to Greece and the ‘omogeneia.’
  • To offer its facilities in support of the educational and cultural activities of the Hellenic-American Community.
  • To foster and participate in the development of Hellenic College and Holy Cross, with which the Center is affiliated and on whose campus it is situated, through the Center’s activities and resources.
