The Maliotis Cultural Center at HCHC, together with HCHC Events, hosted its first-ever open mic and karaoke night on October 4. The event was a big hit and included a broad variety of cultural performances, from Greek bouzoukia, American folk music, Yiddish ukelele, and Shakespearean monologues to Pakistani friendship songs, an Alaskan Inuit salmon harvesting dance, and Arthurian epic poetry. The Maliotis Cultural Center promotes Hellenic culture while also seeking points of intersection between the diverse cultures of its local and broader community.
