It was a joy to receive the parishioners of St. George Cathedral in Manchester, NH at MCC on April 2 as part of their visit to the HCHC campus. The visitors enjoyed hospitality and a tour of Maliotis, remarking on the unbelievable recent transformation of the center and commenting on the warmth and friendliness of the MCC atmosphere and staff. A special highlight of the visit was an impromptu presentation by Meletios Poulopoulos a parishioner of St. George and a Greek musician historian and archivist, as well as the Grecian Echoes radio host, who spoke on the Polychord instrument we have here at MCC. In a past article Mr. Poulopoulos wrote: “The Polychord that is at the Maliotis Cultural Center may be the only one left in America. It was donated by Irene Kastoris of Michigan in October of 1984”. This is just one example of the many rare treasures found at Maliotis.
