HCHC Psychology Club Meetings

Tonight, the exciting inaugural meeting of the Psychology Club at Hellenic College Holy Cross took place at Maliotis Cultural Center. This momentous meeting was led by club President Olivia Neslusan under the guidance of faculty sponsor, Dr. Erika Prijatelj. Tonight’s topic was presented by OCAMPR (The Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology, and Religion) via zoom discussing the topic of suicide and mental health. Hellenic College Dean Dr. Tim Patitsas and Holy Cross professor and OCAMPR advisory board member, Dr. Philip Mamalakis also made a welcoming speech addressing their well wishes for the start of this new and necessary club.

They presented on how we can clinically talk about suicide and how we marry those discussions with how our faith plays a role. It was a very powerful meeting and attendance from interested students was strong. The Psychology club looks forward to many more successful meetings throughout this academic year and in the years to come.
