Maliotis Cultural Center of Hellenic College Holy Cross and the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of New England organized a wonderful concert on December 12, 2021. The concert featured the Greek Chorale Boston, a community choir, which performed a Christmas show, under the leadership of Panayota Haloulakou. The Chorale did a beautiful job singing traditional Greek and Christmas songs. Pianist Lefteris Kordis accompanied the choir. Jamie Stewardson and Emanuel Sabau captured and live-streamed the show, which can be watched here. Guest artists shared their skills and talents with the audience. The atmosphere in the room was festive. Even Santa Claus himself showed up and brought gifts to the children who sang the Kalanta. Vasoula Digidiki did wonders narrating beautiful Christmas stories as “yiayia” for the children in front of a cozy fireplace. The concert was followed by a festive reception of strawberries, champagne, cookies, and coffee amidst winter wonderland decor.
